Lately I’ve been drawn to complexity. Complexity in an image or composition creates so many pathways for relationship. The relativity of shapes, color, etc., creates synapses; a conversation. Elements talking to one another with complexity builds layers of meaning. I am trying to keep the physical paint alive and caught in motion. The brush stroke must hold energy to transmit the conversation and bring alive the space in between.
